HYLURONIC ACID
It is a natural polysaccharide (HA).
In addition to the already known anti-inflammatory, mucoregulatory, anti-edema and restructuring actions, hyaluronic acid performs a bacteriostatic action which, by creating a protective patina in the mucosa, prevents the penetration of pathogenic agents and reduces the proliferation of those already existing.
Together with Honey, they createa protective mucoadhesive film with a barrier effect for the control of the microenvironment that, protecting and hydrating the mucosa of the upper airways, calm the cough and makes the mucus more fluid, facilitating its removal.
HONEY
It is a substance rich in mineral salts (potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sulfur, sodium, iron, copper, manganese), vitamins (vitamins A, C and B), antioxidant compounds (carotenoids, flavonoids and anthocyanins) and acids organic, the latter able to counter the proliferation of fungi and bacteria.
Therefore, honey has several properties: anti-inflammatory, particularly indicated for throat irritation; expectorant, helps to thin the mucus and counteract the cough, reducing its frequency; antibacterial, capable of “killing” pathogens; immunostimulant; antioxidant on tissues, including those of the throat and other respiratory tract, such as the pharynx.
