The female genital apparatus is the set of organs and anatomical structures, which, in the woman, is responsible for the whole mechanism of reproduction (from mating to the maturation of the fetus).

The production of egg cells and female sex hormones that occurs in the female genital system and that characterizes the physiological phases of the woman, also conditions the changes that occur during her life: puberty, pregnancy and menopause.

Female genital problems can be related to hormonal production, microbial flora imbalances, or infections, and affect both the genital area of communication with the outside and the internal area.
