VITAMIN K2 (Menaquinone-7)
Menaquinone 7 has greater bioavailability than other forms of vitamin K.
Vitamin K2 works in synergy with other fat-soluble vitamins, such as Vitamin D3.
It promotes Osteocalcin, a protein that attracts Calcium in the bones and activates a series of special proteins. One of these is MGP (Matrix GLA Protein) which mobilizes Calcium from soft tissues and arteries, where this mineral can be harmful.
Vitamin K is also a cofactor for specific carboxylase enzymes synthesized in the liver that help to maintain normal blood coagulation through a balance of both procoagulant factors and anticoagulant proteins.
