- MARITIME PINE
From the bark of the Maritime Pine (Pinus pinaster Aiton, synonym of Pinus maritima), a water-soluble extract is obtained which, in 1987, received the international phytochemical name of Pycnogenol. Chemically, Pycnogenol consists of a mix of polyphenols, particularly antioxidant bioflavonoids, among which the most significant are the oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs). The dry extract of Maritime Pine has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-edema properties. These properties are particularly useful in edematous inflammatory states. - BROMELAIN
Bromelain refers to a group of enzymes with proteolytic activity, extracted from the pulp but mainly from the stem of the pineapple. Classically, the Bromelain used in the nutritional supplementation world is extracted from the stem of this fruit. Besides its digestive effects, evidently related to the proteolytic activity of these enzymes, Bromelain is also known for several other systemic effects. Bromelain has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-edema, and immunomodulatory activities. It’s important to note that the demonstrated pain reduction effect is due to Bromelain’s ability to reduce inflammation and tissue edema, rather than a direct analgesic effect. - ZINC
Zinc has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is therefore useful in combating free radicals and is indicated in the treatment of inflammatory states.
